Stephen Hawking

 Stephen Hawking (1942-2018) was a world-renowned British physicist and cosmologist known for his groundbreaking work in the field of theoretical physics, particularly his research on black holes and the origins of the universe. Despite being diagnosed with a rare form of motor neuron disease in his early 20s, Hawking continued to make significant contributions to the field of science throughout his life, including writing several popular science books that helped to make complex scientific concepts accessible to the general public. Some of his most well-known works include "A Brief History of Time" and "The Universe in a Nutshell". Hawking also received numerous awards and honors throughout his career, including the Albert Einstein Medal and the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
