A 400m high golden cube will be built in Saudia Arabia's capital as part of a new development. The New Murabba project will be the "world's largest modern downtown", its developers claim.
The golden cube will house two million square metres of floor space which will include a "premium hospitality destination" as well as shops, hotels, residential units, recreational facilities and cultural and tourist attractions. It will boast a tower atop a spiral staircase.
The building will offer an experience using the latest holographic technology. It will be one of the largest built structures in the world.
Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, who is chairman of the New Murabba Development Company (NMDC) announced the scheme as part of the country's Saudi Vision 2030 project. Saudi Vision 2030 is a strategy to reduce the country's dependence on oil and diversify its economy.
The New Murabba project is focusing on the concept of sustainability. It will feature green areas and walking and cycling paths to promote a healthy lifestyle.

Hundreds of thousands of residents are expected to live there once it is completed over an area spanning 19sq km. It will have its own internal transport system and will be 20 minutes from the airport.
It will feature a museum, a technology and design university, a multipurpose immersive theatre and more than 80 entertainment and culture venues.
